Sarcasticly Sane: August 2011

          So my boys Kc and Leo are 4 and 3 years old. Here in Alabama they have a program for children called Headstart. Its a preschool for families with low income. I was really exited because I got kc and Leo into the program this year. Today was the very first day of school! We spent a long time sitting and planning their favorite outfits to wear for this week. I even put them in gallon zip lock bags with socks and underwear so that there isn't any running around with our heads cut off in the morning. it went pretty smoothly this morning. I got them to school in plenty of time with all of the things they needed. They were so good. They made me so proud, especially compared to the other children that were screaming and throwing full blown tantrums because they didn't want to be there. Both of them gave me a big hug and told me bye and i grabbed a picture of each one of them with there first day name tags on in each of their classrooms. I don't have that little mini photo card in my phone right now so I cant upload them yet but i will soon. They just did great.

           I left my little men there and started on my way home with 22 month old Emmaly. About Five minutes down the road I just started crying. I cant believe that my little babies are so grown and going to school! I gathered myself together and was fine by the time i got home. It was so quiet with just me and emmaly here. She was able to get some special treats, like drawing with pens and paper, that she normally wouldn't get a chance to do when its all three. She was really good and sweet too. Probably because she didn't have to fight anyone for my attention.

          When I went and got the boys Leo's teacher told me that she had had a few minor problems with Leo. He hadn't really wanted to follow the plan she had for them but she said he wasn't too bad. He had had some problems with his new shoes though. He said they hurt his feet. Tomorrow we'll try sneakers. Kc's teacher was very pleased with him. He had been a big help and involved in all of the activities. I expected Kc to do really well. I even expected Leo to have a few issues. He will just need a little bit of time to adjust and i know he will start thriving like Casey.

          The school is really good about letting you know through a newsletter what exactly your child will be learning so that you can reinforce what they are learning at home. I think its a good program. I'm a little anxious about what bad habits may rub off on my boys from the other children but I suppose that will be the case always.

          I'm so happy and so proud of them. I will keep ya'll updated as the school year goes on. Other then that I had my ex boyfriend, we will call him Scurvy Blackbeard (also his generated pirate name, check my previous post if that doesn't make any sense lol), came over and hung out with me for a little while when the boys were at school. I love seeing him. I love being around him. Yet at the same time I know that he is so bad for me. The whole reason we broke up a few months ago is because it was just impossible for me to get him to work....He is in a metal band and into everything i shouldn't be but i have some sort of chemical addiction to being around him. Even if we aren't being intimate(We haven't done that in 4 or 5 months). I think he may have gotten jealous today. He noticed i had quiet a few plenty of fish (dating website) emails on my yahoo. He acted nonchalant about it but I'm pretty sure it got to him. I'm not trying to make him jealous or anything manipulative like that...I just wish I could move on from him because he has already gotten over me even if I can spark his jealousy occasionally..

Well i suppose that is enough of my blabbing today.
